KING TUTS re-scheduled!!!
by alanmckim - Jan 19th, 05:45Happy New Year Everyone,
Hope you all enjoyed the festivities and have a terrific 2008!
Apologies for not updating sooner but I am pleased to confirm that King Tut's have offered me a re-scheduled headline gig on FRIDAY 1st FEBRUARY!
I have been given a replacement 100 tickets so if you still have your ticket for the cancelled gig then I can swap it with you for a new one. If that makes sense. Basically, if you came to the last King Tut's gig you can come to the next one for FREE!
Please contact me to arrange a convenient time to swap tickets!
I'm waiting for Tut's to confirm but I think anyone who bought a ticket over the bar will be able to take their old tickets to the gig and swap them over the bar on the night.
Unfortunately this means that I have no more tickets for sale, however you will still be able to get them from ticketmaster or from the bar at King Tut's.
Hope you can all make it to the re-scheduled gig!
Doors - 8:30pm
Also on the bill that night will be Burlesque Performer 'Lou Hickey' from Glasgow and 'Alice & the Majesty' all the way from London. Both girls are great singer/songwriters and are well worth checking out.
Thanks for your ongoing support!

Tuesday's cancelled gig...
by alanmckim - Dec 14th 2007, 00:56Hello Folks,
I don't think anyone could have predicted the way in which Tuesday night unravelled at King Tuts. For anyone who wasn't there, I was meant to play at the legendary venue a few nights ago, and after arriving I was informed that I would be headlining the gig due to the massive amount of tickets I'd sold, as well as the multiple people who had purchased tickets over the bar! UNFORTUNATELY, shortly after the first act, Anna Meldrum, finished her set, the whole building had to be evacuated due to flooding in the ladies' toilets and the whole gig was cancelled! DEVASTATING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'd like to THANK EVERYBODY who was there and sincerely apologise for the way in which the night unfolded. I really was amazed at how many people turned up, especially for a Tuesday night. We are currently waiting to hear back from King Tuts as to when I can next play there so that those with tickets can still come to the gig, and where necessary, refunds given out.
As soon I'm informed what happens next, you'll be the first to know.
Thanks for your ongoing support!
Alan
